A rewritten, cross-platform version of Akeeba eXtract Wizard is just released.

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Akeeba eXtract Wizard 3.2. The newest release of our desktop archive extraction software is now truly cross-platform and able to extract backup archives created by the latest versions of Akeeba Backup*. It will run natively on Windows (XP, Vista, 7), Linux (32-bit and 64-bit) and Mac OS X (Snow Leopard running on Intel Macs). Having dropped the Titanium Runtime base of the earlier releases, the new version consists of purely native, highly optimized code which runs at least twice as fast**. The interface has undergone a major rehaul, making the extraction a streamlined, two click process.

As always, Akeeba eXtract Wizard is distributed free of charge through our Download page. It is written in Lazarus/FreePascal and licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL version 3 or, at your option, any later version. You can check out the source code if you want from our SVN repository. Should you bump into any problems, do not hesitate to seek our support in our Free Support Forum.
