Hi

I keep getting locked out IP Blocked.  It maybe Bunny CDN?  It's the first time this has happened to me, my Trial finished yesterday and now I'm on a paid agreement.  I have been working on my site or days.  And today I have a problem. I can see all the images when its working.  But as I upload new images, it slows down and then I get blocked.

However, when I request a Rescue email, I cannot read it.  The email looks blank.  However, if I look at the Source I can read it.  I then have to cut and paste to Dreamweaver to read it.  But the token is wrapped at a certain number of characters and so I can't confirm the full token.  Very frustrating.

Please advise.

Many thanks.

Hello,

first of all, let's double check that your IP is correctly recognized.

Please visit https://www.whatsmyip.org/ and note down the IP you see on screen. Then get inside Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Administrator Exclusive Allow IP List and click on New. On the new form you will see an IP on the screen. Does it match with the previous one?

If not, you'll have to enable the option IP Workarounds inside the Configure WAF page.

Hi Davide

I did all of that.  I deleted the .htaccess file and replaced it so that I could get back in.

As for the IP getting blocked, I upgraded my Yootheme back-end to 2.3.2 and after checking on their site, there is a problem with the upgrade that they're working on now.

So, I'm still unsure why the email would appear blank, but include the contents in the 'View Source' setting on Outlook.

mhm... I have an hunch about your IP being always blocked. What's the reason for the block? Is that "template= in URL"? I had another customer with issues with YooTheme, it turns out that in the new update they added such string in the URL and you could end up blocked.

If that's your case, you can easily fix it by going in Configure WAF and enable the feature Allow site templates

Hi Davide

Many thanks for your help.  I've done as you suggested.

I'll also be waiting in anticipation for the update from YooTheme.

Hope you can shed some light on the blank email.

Kind Regards

I think this is just a display issue. Are you using Outlook desktop or the web version? Do you use the Dark Mode?

Hi Davide

That's a curious one...

I receive about 50 emails a day and this is the only system generated email that doesn't work for me, all the other Joomla emails are ok, when the system reminds me to upgrade etc.

I'm using Outlook Desktop version, in Normal mode.  I have Gmail, Outlook and three SMTP accounts

This is really weird. I ran a test using the desktop version of Outlook (installed with Office 365, fully updated) and the email generated by Admin Tools 5.8.0 using the default template shipped with the component. I can see the email.

Further to that, the email template used for that email is the same template used for all other Admin Tools emails. It's just two nested DIVs hosting a few P tags. There's nothing fancy. I have deliberately kept it simple and stupid. I really can't explain what you're experiencing.

You can always edit the email template in Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Email Templates.

Hi Nicholas

Very strange indeed...I messaged my host provider to confirm they were not doing anything.

I looked at my iPhone Outlook and the system email.  It was perfectly OK.

I 'Forwarded' the system email on my mobile to my GMail account.  It then showed up clearly on my MBP Outlook.

All the other Admin Tools system emails were/are perfectly displayed being sent to my business IMAP email.

I can only think there is something going on with Outlook.  Cannot work out what, how or why.

Thanks for looking in to it for me.

Kind Regards

Just out of curiosity, if you view the email source does it seem to be intact? Does trying to select all text makes anything appear?

Hi Nicolas

I did as you suggested.  The body of the email appears completely blank/white in the View Panel.

If I click on the View Source, the screen pops up, I see the header content and the Akeeba Content looks like the text below, but justified.  Each line finished with " = ":

<html>=0A<head>=0A<title>Rescue URL requested on salesXchange for nigel</ti=
tle>=0A</head>=0A<body><div style=3D"background-color: #e0e0e0; padding: 10=

padding: 5px 10px;">=0A<p>Hello,</p>=0A<p>We would like to notify you that

OK, this is the expected email body. The funny strings starting with an equal sign is how emails encode certain characters and the equal signs at the end of the line are a "line continuation character". So, Outlook does get the full, correct email but doesn't render it for you but it does for me. I honestly don't know. It's Outlook, it does weird things to emails...
