#35006 Blank Screen when go from php 7.4 to 8 (Main site not admin)

Ok this is a odd on

1. I'm using Admin tools on my all my clients site and just started to updat them from php 7.4 to 8.0

2. So I just went and update the PHP to 8.0 on ABC site

3. I make sure that this is i my admin tools .htaccess file

4. I make sure that my php on cPanel is version 8

5. I then go to my SYSTEM INFO on the admin and i'm seeing php 8

6. Then when I go the Front END it just a WHITE SCREEN nothing else

7. I have uninstalled admin tools and installed it and still nothing.

8. I'm not sure what is going on with this 1 site but I have updated about 3 so far and no issues.

9. I using yootheme.com for my theme

 

Hope you can sheed some light on this - as can't figure why and what's blocking it.

Your problem is not with our software. We had been testing our software with PHP 8 before PHP 8.0 was released — we had been testing and developing with the PHP 8.0 Release Candidate versions.

Not all third party extensions, however, have been doing that. If you have any extension version that was released before February 2021 chances are that they don't support PHP 8. Same goes for your template. If it predates PHP 8 by months or years it will most definitely not support it. PHP 8 is a major PHP release with a lot of backwards incompatible changes.

Go through all your extensions and check if their developers support PHP 8.

If you ever wonder about our software's compatibility with different PHP and Joomla versions you can always check https://www.akeeba.com/compatibility.html where we detail this information going all the way back to 2009 (older versions didn't have this kind of information recorded anywhere so they never made it to that page).
