On my development environment (localhost), I installed Admin Tools. Installed some standard protections. Have tested this and concluded that it all works. I also had to change the file main.php in main.old. I also reverted this to main.php.

What strikes me is the following: Does the above screenprint remain visible in Admin Tools even if you have restored main.old to main.php.

As long as you have renamed the file back to main.php you no longer receive a warning about the file being renamed.

Please do note that on some hosts renaming a file may take a while to take effect because of PHP's opcode caching.
