I have three sites that use AdminTools and the Joomla Attachments extension and have done so for a few years.

I have recently been informed that on one of them (http://www.westlulworth-pc.org.uk/index.php/parish-council/council-meeting-agendas) any attempt to download an document (could be PDF or .docx) results in the message

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

I don't know how long this has been going on as I rarely download the documents myself and but uploading seems to be working OK.  I am on the latest version of Attachments 3.2.6 and Joomla 3.9.28, PHP 7.4.20 (I even tried moving to PHP 8.0 but that made no difference)
I have checked all of the permissions in the Attachments extension are set to public access as on the other sites and even if I go in into the Joomla backend and look at the documents as a superuser I still can't download them.

I would reinstall but presumably I would lose access to the existing document set and there seems to be little support for this extension by the original writer.and I have a lot of documents stored   An obvious thought is that Admin tools is somehow blocking things.  I appreciate that Attachments isn't your product  but any suggestions regarding  Admin Tools involvement would be most welcome.   Thanks   Dennis

Solved.  I needed to add    /attachments    to the list of directly accessible folders.  It used to be in there but I can only assume that this was overwritten a few weeks back when we had the problem with one of the Admin Tools releases.
