Description of my issue:

Joomshaper support crewed up my site early this morning, and I need to restore the latest incremental backup from Backblaze B2. I've never used Akeeba to restore, so I don't have any experience. I followed the directions on the Manage Backups page, selected the latest incremental backup, and clicked the Restore button.

I got this:

Error The backup archive could not be located   What do I need to do? I have attached the most recent incremental backup log file.   1. Do I need to download the files manually from the Backblaze B2 bucket? 2. When restoring the incremental backup, do I need to select all incremental backups to restore along with the last full, or just the latest incremental?

I have two automatic scheduled backup profiles.

Weekly full

Daily Incremental, Full

I've read through the restore documentation, but I am still unsure as to restoring my incremental backup.

My last weekly full was yesterday. My last incremental was this morning. Can I simply restore these two backups to get me back to this morning's incremental state, or do I need to stay with the same chain in the incremental - restoring the original full and all incrementals since August 2?

Hello,

first of all you have to download and restore the latest full backup. Then you have to download and restore each incremental backups, until you reach the last one you have.

In your case, you have to restore only the last two ones, as you suggested

Thanks for the feedback.

If I go to "Manage Backups", and I go to "Manage Files", I have the option to "Fetch to server". If I do this, Will this let me skip downloading to my local machine, and then uploading to restore at the server?

If I fetch to server, will the integrated restore work, or do I need to do a kickstart restore manually?

To do a proper restoration, I need to backup and restore of my database separately, right?

Is there a special restore process for the database, or is it the same with a site restoration?

Yes, that's correct

The integrated restoration will work just fine, there's no need to use Kickstart

After restoring the full backup, you have to restore the incremental one, until you reach the most recent one. Usually those incremental backups will include the database as well.

Is there a special restore process for the database, or is it the same with a site restoration?

The procedure is exactly the same, it will only include the database only, without files. However, as written above, you can have an incremental file backup that includes the database as well, making restoration faster.
