Hi, I found out that cron jobs on several (mostly J4) sites are not running.

cli/akeeba-backup.php is missing

I did install Akeeba several times, but it is not working

What file should I copy (+rename?)

I will not go on with reinstalling every site I can't trust at this moment, so I prefer to copy by hand the right file to cli

Does this file change a lot? So Should I do it every update again?

Kind regards, Hein

Hello,

just to be sure, did you install the Pro version on those websites?

Yes I did install the pro version. These are all Joomla 3 to 4 updates.

But... I find out that the command has been changed from

cli/akeeba-backup.php

to

cli/joomla.php akeeba:backup:take

I now found this page. https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/akeeba-backup-cli.html and https://www.akeeba.com/news/1747-joomla-4-is-around-the-corner.html

I will change that on my sites.

 Best regards, Hein

Ah now it makes more sense!

Yes, with Joomla 4 we moved from "standalone" script to being integrated inside Joomla ecosystem, so it changed the way CLI commands are invoked.

Let me know how it goes.

Now it works. I didn't notice it in the overviews of changes after the Joomla4 updates.

This integration must have been necessary I think/hope, although I have more confidence in your software stability than of Joomla core.

Things suddenly change there without notice or without knowing the consequences for the developers and the end-users.

Thanks so far, also for your super fast reaction!
