Hi there,
I'm trying to get Akeeba Backup Professional 3.0.b2 (2010-04-27) to backup to folder on my server and send a copy to dropbox. The backup seems to send the backup chunks to the right folders, on my sever, and to my desktop dropbox. But the Akeeba backup page never completes, it just ends with a long red progress bar.

I've tried reducing the chunks from 20mb to 2mb, but still the same problem.

I've attached an image and a log file.

Any ideas, here's hoping?!

It looks like the first two sections were processed properly, then it goes off the deep end. Nicholas will have to look at this.

Okay, today it's working! That is, I do a backend backup and the 2meg jpa segments arive in my backup folder, and in my dropbox folder on my desktop.
I've attached the log zip. Maybe somebody can see a difference as to why one worked and one did not. (As I watched, the sever response indicator bar crept up, but didn't stick, so the process completed.)
Anyway, I will now try for a frontend cron version of the same task....

Two backups on, auto frontend backups looking good! Answer, as Nicholas explains elsewhere, is keep the file chunks small and schedule for a time when things are quiet.

I should have guessed that. :( The part size is something that I can't see in the log. I'm glad you got it working.
