Hi,

I just installed Akeeba Backup Pro for the first time on my site. Before I even tried doing a backup, my hosting services shut my site down. It turns out that Akeeba backup pro was creating 19kB files in the thousands. I went in and started deleting the files, and it was still creating them. I then uninstalled the component as quickly as possible to avoid being shut down again. Please help. This is a working site so I don't dare try an installation again until I understand what is happening. Thank you in advance. I've attached a screen capture of the file names it was creating.

First, make sure that you are using Akeeba Backup 3.1 Stable. The early alpha and beta releases had this issue, it was fixed late in the RC cycle.

If you have enabled the plg_aklazy plugin, please disable it until you are sure you can take a full backup from the Backup Now page. Then, make sure that you have installed the latest plugin, available from our downloads area in the Akeeba Backup 3.1 stable page.

If all else fails, please ZIP and attach your back-end backup log file. Thanks!
