Hi

Just moved a client site to a new hosting co.

They offer PHP 8 which is the one I have set

When doing an Akeeba PRO backup, the process fails.

Here is an excerpt of the log file (where it fails)

...
[210319 17:05:45] -- Adding smileys.zip to archive (source: <root>smileys.zip)
[210319 17:06:08] Kettenrad :: Caught unhandled exception. The backup will now fail.
[210319 17:06:08] fclose(): supplied resource is not a valid stream resource
[210319 17:06:08] [TypeError] <root>administrator/components/com_akeeba/BackupEngine/Archiver/BaseArchiver.php(605) – #0 ‹fclose(): supplied resource is not a valid stream resource›
[210319 17:06:08] #0 <root>administrator/components/com_akeeba/BackupEngine/Archiver/BaseArchiver.php(605): fclose()
...

Thoughts?

Thanks
Danny

This is a known issue in PHP 8 with split archives. We will publish a new version on Monday to address it.
