EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue.

Description of my issue:

New install. Failing to transfer files to AWS S3 with error:
[60]SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed.
Backups work OK.

It seems that your server does not fully support SSL connections to other servers when using PHP's cURL extension. In that case you can go to Akeeba Backup's Configuration page, click the Configure button next to the Post-Processing Engine and uncheck the Use SSL option. This will turn off the use of HTTPS when transferring files to S3 and most likely allow you to complete the archive's upload to S3.

Note: If you are concerned about the safety of your data when uploading them to Amazon S3 (since SSL will no longer be used) you can always use the JPS format which encrypts all contents of the backup archive and requires a password to decrypt and extract the archive.
