Hello,
in my first restore, it seem i found some setting is getting lost (blank) and i have to replicate all over again.

What possibly caused this ?

Thanks

Can you please specify which settings you are talking about? Akeeba Backup? WordPress itself? A third party plugin?

I still have no idea what you are talking about. You are telling me your diagnosis, not the symptoms. Quite obviously, if your diagnosis was accurate you'd also know how to deal with the problem. Since you can't deal with the problem your diagnosis is most likely inaccurate. In order for me to diagnose the problem I need to know what you are talking about, what are the exact symptoms you see. Can you please:
1. specify which settings you are talking about? Akeeba Backup? WordPress itself? A third party plugin?
2. specify what "get corrupted" means
3. specify what the "/upload" folder means
4. explain where you restore
5. explain how you determine whether the setting (whatever it means) is "there" and what "there" means

when i refer to /upload
i mean its wp-content/uploads/
this is related the ticket #20517, i create new thread because i think its a different topic.
https://www.akeebabackup.com/support/akeeba-backup-wordpress/20517-stuck-on-git.html

So to summarize:
1. i was having problem when i got stucked on compressing backup, i put the backup file in wp-content/uploads/
2. i turn of ithemes security, and problem on compressing backup gone (ticket #20517)
3. i upload to my server (live) and restore with akeeba kickstart
4. Most of the setting gone.. i have several plugin installed and all back just as default
5. I open a ticket here
6. While waiting for the answer... i'm trying to solve myself.. i create a new folder and create new backup there
7. testing restoring new backup
8. but this time, all the setting keep intact
9. So i'm thinking it probably have some corrupt data because the old setting
10. i post my thought here..

Hope it make more sense now..

Thanks

OK, now it makes more sense. I think that the problem was that the restoration somehow failed the first time you tried. The second time everything got restored properly and that's what solved the problem.
