II have a website which has a size of 2138 MB

I have moved the two files "gb and 138MB to the target host (Inmotion Hosting) using filezilla.
site-optimizedpanama.com-20140313-173827.zip (138Mb) and site-optimizedpanama.com-20140313-173827.z01 (2MB)

But I cannot extract the files in the file manager to make a restore.

Am I doing something wrong?

Regards,

Mike

Mike,

Please try extracting the file with Kickstart. You can download it from our Downloads page. Just execute kickstart with:
www.mysite.com/kickstart.php
and it will list the available archives to be extracted, in your case just the one.

Ok, Will kickstart work with a zip file?

Thanks,

Mike

Yes, it will. Not all zips are created equal, so that's why I want to try kickstart.

Unfortunately I get the error:

AN ERROR OCCURED
The archive file is corrupt, truncated or archive parts are missing

Any other ideas?

Mike,

One more test to see if we can extract the archive a different way, can you please try the eXtract Wizard from your local computer? The eXtract Wizard is also available on our Downloads page.

When you upload the files via FTP, you need to use Binary mode. ASCII mode will corrupt the archive and Auto mode makes your FTP client guess what mode it should use. It sounds like this may be a development site on a local computer, so the files were only moved once. If that is not the case, you need to do the download and the upload in Binary mode.

There is a weird bug with the multi-part zip format that can produce corrupt archives, but Nicholas said he's never seen it in real life. Looking at your part sizes, the bug seems unlikely.
