Hi Davide, regarding ticket #30875 a question.
I contacted the hosting provider and according to them the ddos protection did not change the last weeks.
But they updated PHP on their servers.
Could that be the problem why I get now more often the "HTTP Status: 403 (Forbidden) - You don't have permission to access" message?

When I make updates and a few back-ups on several sites more or less the same time, I get this error.
And when I wait a minute or 5 after that error message I can normally create a back-up.

Thanks.

Hello,

no , the PHP version is not related in any way on your issue.
The problem is caused by your webserver, which runs way before our code has a chance to run. My guess is that new versions of PHP are way faster than previous ones, this means that Akeeba Backup can do a lot more operations in the same time, resulting in more requests per seconds and finally triggering the protection.
Anyway, I'd strongly suggest you to add a delay between backups, the best thing to do is to setup a CRON job and give at least 5-10 minutes of "rest" between each run.
