all of the day I tried to update Admin Tools and Akeeba backup.
I never had have probs with your great extensions - but today it`s terrible. And I want only to run an event extension (iCagenda). The support says the joomla version is old and with bugs: Joomla 3.0.2 php 5.3, but Admin Tool and Akeeba Backup shows I have the actual version. But there are not the actually one. So I installed the actual Admin Tools 2.5.8 and now there are no button to actual Joomla, and I have activated them in the plugins. No button and only option with Live Update settings. Where can I get the Download ID?? Or where are the button to actually Joomla and Admin Tools???
Thanks for your feedback.

Gabi,

The code to update Joomla! core program has been removed from Admin Tools in 2.5.8. It has been available in Joomla! since version 2.5. You may need to enable the "Quick Icon - Joomla! Update Notification" plugin. This is the same code, written by Nicholas, as was in Admin Tools. It does not make sense to maintain the code in two different places.

Hi Dale - ok, but I think, there`s something wrong, because it`s missing. Maybe I have to update Joomla manually? Under Quick icon it`s a icon-text Joomla update to 2.5.7 but in the systeminformation is Joomla 3.0.2???? Thanks for help

I missed a step. Go to Extensions, Extension Manager and Update. Click Purge Cache, then Find Updates. That will get rid of the incorrect informaiton and update it from the Joomla! server.

I am confused - "because it`s missing" - what is missing?
