 Hello,

We are attempting to get the cron to work, but are receiving the error: "Akeeba Ticket System reply by email - Cannot connect to mail server - IMAP extension not installed". (see screenshot)

We are using Google Mail and have our 'Reply by Email' settings as per the attached screenshot.

We have recently installed php5-imap on the server, as one of the support tickets we read during troubleshooting had mentioned that as a fix, but we're still getting the same error after a reboot.

The "System - Akeeba Ticket System reply by email" plugin is DISABLED as we're using cron to check for new tickets.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Todd

Hello Todd,

the CLI and web version of PHP are two different executable and they use two different php.ini files.
Please review the settings of the CLI PHP executable, most likely such module is not included/enabled.

Hello, thank you for your response. This is now resolved.

For future users, this is a "bug?" in php5-imap on ubuntu 14.04. Once installed, php5-imap is NOT enabled by default. It must be enabled and apache restarted before it'll work:

sudo apt-get install php5-imap
sudo php5enmod imap
sudo service apache2 restart

Hope this helps anyone else having similar issues.

Thanks!

Todd
