First of all thank you so much for this software, I think it's the best! You do an amazing job of support also. I costs you lots and lots of time and because of that we save HOURS. This is really appreciated!

I have backed up my site using Joomlapack 2.4. I used mostly the default settings. We are moving the site to a new host and I've uploaded via FTP the jpa backup file, the kickstart.php and the english .ini file that is included in the kickstart zip folder.
What I am confused about is what does kickstart need to run on the remote server. I have put in the new empty DB info into the kickstart.php file but when I now browse to the site I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DNUMBER in /home/content/c/c/i/ccihkwebadmin/html/kickstart.php on line 22
Could you clear this up for me please? The contents of the kickstart php file mention that parts of it are no longer needed but from the instruction manual and the forum it sounds like there needs to be some configuration done before running kickstart.
I'm a bit lost.

The easiest way is to upload a clean copy of kickstart.php, don't edit anything. You will be prompted for the information during the install script. The internal fields are to make kickstart run unattended with the JPI3 installer. The JPI4 installer doesn't use the internal fields even for that purpose, it uses an external .ini file.

Thanks for the help. The problem was that I hadn't uploaded all the language files from kickstart, but only the english one. The wizard is coming up now. and extraction is in progress. yay!

I'm glad you got it working! :D
