I have uploaded kickstart to my directory and the backed up files (there are 2, .jpa and .jp1)
When I try to put the url for the kickstart file I get the following error:
Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 1047 in /home/horizon0/public_html/hctbackup/starter.php on line 1047
I have used this file on other sites, so I know it isn't a file problem. Do you know what can be causing this?

The FTP protocol is good but it isn't perfect. Something could have happened the file during transfer. Let's start with a clean copy of Kickstart and see if that fixes the problem.

Ah ha! I knew I'd seen that "unterminated" message before.

In that case the Kickstart program had been uploaded in ASCII mode instead of binary mode. The line endings in the file got messed up between DOS and Linux. Please re-upload the file in binary mode.
