Hello,

i try to restore different backups (from yesterday, from today night, from the day before yesterday) but after restore the site looks not good.

At the moments of the backup the site works perfectly.

After restoration on start page (visit your site´s frontend) there is nothing - 404 error document not found. When i try to login in backend, login works, but there are also a "blank" page?  Class 'Joomla\Console\Application' not found

Where is the problem?

Akeeba Backup 7.0.6 is quite old and predates Joomla 3.9.10. Are you sure that's what you are using? It sounds like you are giving me the Kickstart version also as the Akeeba Backup version. The Akeeba Backup version is printed during restoration.

In any case, I think that the problem is that you are trying to restore a backup on top of an existing site. Can you please confirm this is the case? If so, are you by any chance trying to restore an old backup on top of a Joomla 3.10 or 4.0 site?

Yes - i do a backup with Akeeba Backup before upgrading to joomla 4. Upgrade to joomla 4 crashes and now i need to restore to the latest backup (3.9.10) or previous backup 3.9.9.

I dont know which akeeba backup version was installed at moment of backup.

I need here fast help. Complete site is offline since 6 hours.

I have actually described which folders you only need to remove in the article I published as soon as Joomla 4 stable was released: https://www.akeeba.com/news/1748-joomla-3-10-and-4-0-common-issues.html See under “I cannot restore a Joomla 3 backup on top of Joomla 4; the site is broken.”

That was the next thing I was going to tell you but I guess you found it out yourself. I recognised that you had the problem after trying to restore a 3.9 backup on top of a failed 4.0 update because I had already done that last week, knowing it wouldn't work and even why it wouldn't work, just so I could see the error messages produced and recognise them in tickets.

I'd also like to remind you that I had written that in our documentation about 13 years ago. In the current documentation version this information is in this page https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/restoring-backups.html#general-guidelines, look under “Do not try to overwrite one Joomla! version family with a different one.” I also spotted a typo I made: I have written path-level instead of patch-level. Oh, well. The point is explained in the next sentence so no meaning is lost by the typo, I guess.
