Hello I wanted to know the best way to restore a site.  Many times I will backup a site on my server and WordPress Admin tools is activated.   I know how to disable it. the problem comes when I try and go to the site , I often have problems with home page and the admin section because of the htacess file.  What is the best way to restore a site when these problems arise.

Thanks

You can simply edit the .htaccess file and remove everything between # BEGIN AdminTools and # END AdminTools.

Admin Tools uses WordPress' built-in feature to manage the .htaccess file. The marker comments I mentioned above are added by WordPress itself right before and right after the code added by Admin Tools. Thus, removing everything between them means that you undo everything that Admin Tools' .htaccess Maker did to your site.
