This allows you to use TinyAI with the API of Cohere, a Canadian AI company.
Good to know:
Company: Cohere
Model Families: Command A, Command R, Aya
Free Tier: Yes (with API rate and usage limits)
Unsupported configuration parameters:
Maximum Completion Tokens
To use TinyAI with Cohere follow these steps:
Log into your Cohere account.
Go to the API keys page.
Generate a production (paid, lax API rate) or trial (free of charge, lower API rate, usage limits apply) API key and note it down.
Edit the System - AITiny plugin.
Under AI Service select Cohere
.
Enter your API key in the API Key / Token area.
Click on
.When the page reloads, select your Model. We recommend Command A for general use in English, or Aya Expanse for content in one of the 23 languages supported by this model. If you are going to do AI translations we recommend Aya Expanse; it produced some of the best results we have seen across all models we have tried.
Click on
.Only the Command A Vision model can be used for alt text generation. The Aya Vision model DOES NOT support structured text (JSON) output which is required for this use case.
Cohere's models seem very resistant to following prompt instructions. Vision models may not return alt text in the content's language despite being explicitly instructed to do so. Proof-reading always rewrites the source text, even though the model is instructed not to.
