This allows you to use AITiny with the API of Perplexity, an American AI company.

To use AITiny with OpenRouter follow these steps:
Log into your Perplexity account and go to the API keys page.
Click on to create a new API key.
Click on the Copy icon under Actions to copy it.
Edit the System - AITiny plugin.
Under AI Service select Perplexity.
Enter your API key in the API Key / Token area.
Click on .
When the page reloads, select your Model.
The list of available Perplexity models is hard-coded into the plugin's code. Perplexity does not provide an API method to list the available models.
Perplexity is geared towards research. This makes it a good candidate for generating new content, albeit it will be a fairly more expensive method for reworking existing text. Since it grounds its replies on search results, it makes an excellent choice for the "Custom..." tool which lets you have a short conversation with the AI assistant.
Perplexity responses include references to the search results it used to generate the response. They look like this: [1]. The actual search results and information about them is not included in the text itself; it is provided as metadata. AITiny does NOT make use or display this metadata. As a result, you may want to add an instruction similar to "Do not include references to the search results you used to respond." in the System Prompt of the AITiny plugin if you are using Perplexity. Otherwise you will have to go through the text very carefully, removing these references.
