We are introducing Grafida, our cross-platform desktop app for writing and editing Joomla! articles offline, then publishing them straight to your site over the Joomla Web Services (REST) API.
Grafida is focused on content authoring. It isn't the Joomla back-end in a window — it's a focused, offline article editor:
- Connect your sites. Talk to one or more Joomla! 5.4+ sites via the Web Services API.
- Browse like the back-end. Search, sort, filter and paginate a site's articles.
- Write in TinyMCE 7, styled with your own site's editor.css so what you see matches your front-end.
- Work offline. Drafts live in a local database; publish when ready — with intro/full-text split, categories, tags, custom fields and images handled for you.
- Manage media in-app, including a built-in image editor.
- Optional AI writing assistant. Chat about the open article and run writing tools using your choice of AI provider (text only).
- And more: Markdown import, light/dark/auto theming, and seven interface languages.
