Akeeba Backup 3.3.a2 released, fixing issues found in alpha 1.
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Akeeba Backup 3.3.a2 (alpha) which addresses issues discovered in the alpha 1 version released a few days ago.
This version addresses issues with Joomla! 1.6 compatibility, a problem with uploads to S3 and issues with update notification emails. It also fixes a few minor, comsetic issues which were present in the 3.2.7 release.
This is an alpha version. While we have tested it on our own servers and use it on our production sites, it is possible that there are still bugs present. Therefore, we discourage its use on critical production sites. Please report back any issues you may encounter in the support forum so that we can fix them. If you wish to roll back to 3.2.7, simply download and install 3.2.7 without uninstalling the alpha version first. Our 3.2.7 package can handle graceful downgrade from the 3.3 alphas.
