Trying to restore a live site on my local Mamp and reaching kickstart.php on my local server give me a blank page (whithout accessing any backup steps) wit these errors in my local Manp Log folder

PHP Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/home/mylivesite/public_html/admintools-waf.php' (include_path='.:/Applications/MAMP/bin/php/php7.3.9/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0

Remark the “live” url appearing in the local environment searching for admintools-waf.php....

No htacces are present in the folder...

Last version of Akeeba admin & Backup.

Hello,

most likely that option is inside your php.ini, .php.ini , user.ini or .user.ini in the folder you're trying to restore.

The best thing to do (if possible) is to completely delete the parent folder of the site you want to restore, then recreate it. So you can work on a clean environment.

Then start restoring as usual.

tampe125, you are absolutely right, .user.ini and others unneeded hidden files and folders was causing the problem, nothing to do with Admintools or Akeeba Backup.

I remove them from the backup and boum!, my crappy Wordpress site is on my localhost.

Remark; Akeeba is the only software that keep me to ditch everything Wordpress. I keep only friends and non-profit organization that are stuck with that horrible CMS — Thanks Akeeba — All my new sites are Joomla — I simply don’t do WP...

SOLVED!
