#27407 – Akeeba updates download fine but get stuck extracting

I see a notice in Akeeba to update to 2.1.1. The update downloads fine, but get stuck extracting as shown here:

After 15 minutes, it still says 0.0.

This is a known problem, there is a bug in the extraction code of the currently installed version. You need to do a manual update for this release, there are instructions in the release notes of 2.1.1. Future updates will install as expected.
