We want to automate the installation and configuration of Akeeba plugin for all our websites.
The automatic installation goes very well with wp cli : wp plugin install.
How to configure Akeeba on the command line to create profiles? Write directly to the "wp_ak_profiles" SQL table?
How to activate "Enable front-end and remote backup" and the "secret word" in the Public API tab with command line?
Thank you for your help.

We have plans on integrating with WP-CLI but this it take us a few months until we can release something. In the meantime, yes, you can write directly to the wp_ak_profiles table. The other features you mention are stored in the wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp/helpers/private/config.php file.

Both of them can be copied between sites as long as you are using the directory variables like [SITEROOT] and [ROOTPARENT] instead of hardcoded paths. As a result you can copy the table and file from one site to the other to replicate the configuration without having to put much thought into it.

Thank you for your reply.
Is there a way to generate unique secret word for each site with AES128 encryption with the command line?

These are two different things.

First, the secret word. It can be stored unencrypted in the config.php file. The next time you access the control panel page it will be encrypted if necessary.

Regarding AES encryption. I recommend turning this off if you are trying to copy the configuration between sites. Once we have the WP-CLI integration we can let you turn this on and off, having Akeeba Backup manage the generation of the encryption key. Because of the complexity of what's involved and what we need to do to provide backwards compatibility we can't provide an easy solution which doesn't involve going through our encryption code.
