Is it possible to change the CSS theme for Akeeba Solo Professional?
I have looked at the code in my directory (D:\htdocs\akeebasolo\media\css) and there are several min.css files.
Is this possible to modify them to change the appearance?

Thanks,
Phil.

That would be quite the feat, considering that you would need to change the CSS, the HTML output and the JavaScript which makes everything work. Basically, you'd have to rewrite the entire frontend application from scratch. You would then have to keep up with every change we make in every single release. It's definitely not impossible since we obviously do exactly that - we write the software you're using. Would I recommend anyone to pursue it? No, not really. It's more likely that you would introduce hard to solve bugs for which you would receive no support.

it was mainly colours that I was wanting to personalise, in the same way that you can change the appearance of a joomla based website by uploading a new template.....

Just thought that changing, for example, #3EB5B7 to #863FB7 would change turquoise to purple - I wasn't intending on changing the layout or format etc. (i.e. javascript, html output etc.)

If you just need to change colors you should do it, but it's still not very easy.

There is no provision for overriding CSS per se in Solo. However, you could run the CSS file from a de-minifier (example) and do a mass search and replace for the color values. The color values are pretty consistent since everything was generated from SCSS source files which have half a dozen of color variables (and we only use 10% and 20% lighten and darken on the primary colors). You could then replace Solo's CSS file.

Please note that every release of Solo may introduce minor fixes in the master CSS file which is used. I recommend doing the color search and replace on the updated CSS file to prevent any weird visual artefacts when upgrading.
