I am trying the Site Transfer Wizard, and when I click on it and enter the new URL then click CHECK it appears to do something but then goes back to the main menu screen and doesn't show any error message.

I read of a similar problem on ticket id #28595 - and have attached a screenshot of the java console as you requested on that ticket.

This only seems to occur on Firefox as Chrome works ok. On my main machine I have FF v59.0b10 (64-bit) and on my webserver I have FF v58.0.2 (32-bit) and the S.T.W. doesn't work on either.

Thanks,
Phil.

This seems to be a JavaScript issue which only occurs on Firefox. I am currently investigating this and will fix it for the next release (3.0.1). In the meantime you can use Google Chrome, Opera or apparently any other browser which doesn't use Firefox' JavaScript engine for using the Site Transfer Wizard.

The funny thing is that what seems to not be working is supposed to be supported in Firefox per the Mozilla Developer Network, Mozilla being the non-profit which develops Firefox. Well, browsers are definitely non-trivial pieces of software and things like that can and do happen.

Thank you for the heads up!

just upgraded to version 3.0.1 and the previous problem with the Transfer Wizard appears working now in FF57 as it does in Chrome :-)

Thank You :-)
