Is there a list of variables that I can use when customising the confirmation emails that get sent when a backup is generated from the front-end?

In your examples you only show 2 examples [SITE] and [DATE]. I have read through the documentation and tried google, but don't seem to be able to find any info.

Thanks,
Phil :-)

It's all the variables which you can use in the "Backup archive name" field of the Configuration page. See https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/configuration.html#basic-configuration under "Backup archive name".

Thanks Nicholas, that info is helpful :-)

In the default email body it shows the filename and also the profile name and number, I have tried to guess the variable names, but they don't work:-

[FILENAME]
[FILE]
[NAME]
[PROFILEID]
[ID]

Is it possible to use filename, profile name and profile number too in a custom message?

Thanks,
Phil

The following additional variables can be used:
  • [PROFILENUMBER] backup profile number
  • [PROFILENAME] backup profile name
  • [PARTCOUNT] number of parts in the backup archive set
  • [FILELIST] list of backup archive part files, each file separated by the next with a newline character
  • [REMOTESTATUS] is it a remotely stored backup or a backup stored on the server

All of these variables (except the last one) are documented in the System Configuration documentation page under "Email subject". The tooltip is meant to be a quick reminder of what this option does. The full description of each option and usage details can be found in the documentation. Tooltips need to be translated every time we change something, which is not always fast / easy. Documentation is always in English only so we have a lot more leeway in updating it often. Not to mention the documentation can be far more verbose by its nature :)
