I am not sure if this belongs here or in the main JoomlaPack Feature Request Forum, so my apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place.

First off, thanks for the great product!

I am using the Native Tool to backup and then download the backup to my local file server for backup. The problem I have is that I am doing daily backups and it is starting to use a lot of local disk space. There is a feature that allows me to delete the server side backup file that is created, but nothing to delete "old" local backups.

I would like to request a future feature that allows the user to input a parameter, say a date range or number of days and an extension (i.e. .jpa) and after the back up runs and the backup is downloaded it will delete any files that meet the extension and date/days criteria on the local server.

This will save me having to login every few weeks to delete old backup sets on the local server.

Thanks!

Dave,

That has been requested before, I don't know what the status is. I haven't heard that discussed as part of version 3. I'll ask Nicholas to comment.

The 2.x branch of Remote doesn't log downloaded backup files, so it doesn't know which are the old backup files. This will change on the 3.x branch, but I expect the first beta release to be available around Jule.
