Hallo,
i use Joomla NativeTools at a windows pc with windows xp, there i have no problems.
when i use ist with the same data on my windows 7 (64Bit), i become this error:

XML-RPC-Ebenenfehler Invalid payload received from xml-rpc server



can someone help me?
but my english istn very good :-)

I think this is unrelated to the version of Windows. I tested the latest (2.5) release of Remote on Windows XP Home 32-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. All worked like a charm. I think that you have a problem with your Internet connection, or your firewall.

First, make sure that you are using the latest release. It's Akeeba Remote Control 2.5, launched just yesterday. Find it in our Download page.

Then, retry backup. If it fails, right-click the name of the site, click "View Log", in the new window click "Save as a text file". Then put this file in a ZIP and attach it to your next post in this forum. This will help me understand what is going on.

thank you for your post.

i have 2 test-installations from joomla.
"hosting" there is the old JoomPack version installed
"blaulicht" there ist the new from akeeba.


but i allways have an error.


i want to load up the error-log, but i becoma always an error :-(
i have load it to my server:

I can see two problems here:

1. hosting4you.biz you have configured it the wrong way. The URL to the XML-RPC server should be http://www.hosting4you.biz/xmlrpc/index.php and the port number should be 80.

2. On the Akeeba-powered site you are getting no response. The most probable cause is that you are using the wrong plug-in. There are two versions of the plugin: one which talks to JoomlaPack, one which talks to Akeeba Backup. You can find them on our Download page. Please download and install the one which talks to Akeeba Backup.
