hi,

i uploaded the backup file and the kickstart.php including the ini-files on my server. i started the kickstart script and the files where succesfully unzipped. when i click on the link on the kickstart-screen to start the installation a new browser-window appears - but this site is blank/white. i don´t get any error-information.

can someone please tell what i´m doing wrong?

Oliver,

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. The "white screen" error is probably a php error that isn't being reported to the screen. That can present a challenge in figuring out what is causing it. Is there an .htaccess file on your site? Note that the .htaccess file is "inherited" from higher directories, so if it exists anywhere between your site and the document root (public_html, httdocs, etc.) it will be effective for your site. There may be further information in the server error log. You may be able to access the log from your host control screen (cPanel).
