AITiny can automatically generate a meta description and meta keywords for your Joomla articles. The button appears in the Metadata tab of the article editor when the feature is enabled.
When you click the button, AITiny collects the following information from the article you are editing:
The article title.
The body content of all editor fields, with all HTML tags stripped.
Any Joomla custom fields associated with the article, as additional context.
This information is sent to the AI, which returns a JSON response containing a meta description (70–155 characters, a humanly readable sentence) and up to 10 comma-separated meta keywords. The response is automatically filled into the Meta Description and Meta Keywords fields.
If either field already contains a value, you will be asked to confirm before overwriting.
Use this feature after you have finished writing your article content. The AI needs the full content to produce meaningful and accurate meta descriptions and keywords. Running it on a half-written article will produce less relevant results.
The generated meta description and keywords will be in the same language as your article content. If you write your article in French, the meta text will be in French.
If you have Joomla custom fields on your articles, these are included as additional context, which can improve the relevance of the generated meta text.
The default temperature of 0.3 produces consistent results. Running the same article through the feature multiple times will typically yield similar (but not identical) results due to the non-deterministic nature of generative AI.
Always review the generated meta description and keywords. While the AI does a good job in most cases, it may occasionally miss the primary focus of your article or include less relevant keywords.
This feature is only available on the com_content article edit form. It does not appear on other component forms, categories, or menu items.
Article content is truncated to the configured character limit (default: 10,000 characters) before being sent to the AI. For very long articles, the AI may miss information that appears after the truncation point.
The quality of the meta text depends on the AI model you are using. More capable models generally produce better results.
The feature is configured under the Auto-fill Meta tab in the plugin parameters. See the Auto-fill Meta parameters section for details on all available options.
