Akeeba SocialMagick is an extension which automatically generates OpenGraph images for your site's pages, and populates their OpenGraph data. This allows for rich link previews when you share your content on social media sites, instant messaging applications, web chat services / applications and so on. Having an eye-catching image preview whenever you, or someone else, shares a link to your site increases the number of people who will click the link. On some platforms, such as Facebook, including an OpenGraph image is the only way to entice the algorithm to put the content sharing your link in front of people.

All you need to do on your side is create templates which tell SocialMagick how to use any combination of a color background, the article / category images, and your item / page title to generate an OpenGraph image.
