Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to safely install the Professional version of Admin Tools for WordPress when the Core version is already installed.

Or would it be better to uninstall the Core version first? But in that case, will the settings that have been configured be retained?

Thank you

Yes, it is possible, and it's the recommended way to do it. If you want to be absolutely certain WordPress won't be doing anything silly (like, installing the Pro version in parallel to the Core version) you can extract the ZIP archive and upload all extracted files and folders into the Core version's folder.

Nicholas,

Thank you for your reply.

And what about the mu-plugin installed by the Core version of Admin Tools?

Technically, it is replaced when installing the Professional version. You won't see any difference, though, as it's the exact same file in both Core and Professional. Its only job is to allow early loading of the security features which is a common requirement for both Core and Professional.
