Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.3.6
MySQL version: 5.1.56
Host: Rochen
Admin Tools version: 2.1 (It won't let me update because of the problem below.

Description of my issue:
I have a site that every time I save an article or try to upload an extension (saving in the backend) it throws me out to the site's frontend. I reported this sometime ago and you replied that this problem would not go away until I switched hosts. I switched hosts to Rochen recently and it still does the same thing but now it gives me the attached error when I try to log back into the backend.

It does not really kick me out but every time I save a record I must put my logon url back in and I'm still logged in. I cannot upgrade my Akeeba products or load any extensions.

Appreciate your help on this.

try this man.

1. rename your .htaccess file to BAKhraccess
2. upload the attached (standard joomla) htaccess file and rename it to .htaccess
3. if it works, update ATP manually and configure to suit.

make sure your live site variable in configuration.php is correct, this can cuase issues as well.

hopefully that helps.

just seen your error, the above may not work. If not, you will need to disable admin tools and then update manually. that should do it.

to disable rename : plugins/system/admintools/main.php

to backupMain.php or whatever you like.

Thanks Slaes for the quick reply. I should at least get AdminTools updated but that won't fix the problem I don't think.

slaes
give both things a try, you might find it fixes your issues. if not, Niko is the man for the fix :)

Try the following:
- Go to Extensions, Plugin Manager and disable the plugin "System - Admin Tools"
- Upgrade to Admin Tools 2.1.5 (this will re-publish the plugin; if not, publish it again manually)
- Test your site
Normally, that should fix the issue
