Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.3+
MySQL version: 5.1+
Admin Tools version: latest

Description of my issue:
in admin tools administrative interface, i have selected "access control" to be "super administrator" with only one user permitted...myself...however, when accessing the site using another user who is at the "manager level", i can make changes to the "admin tools" interface, but not to the "backup pro" interface...why is this. I understand that this person should not be able to see the "admin tools" interface...

You are absolutely correct. I don't know what I was thinking, but this setting had no effect whatsoever because I never wrote the code :s I fixed that and included the fix in the latest developer's release (svn378). Can you please download, install and test it? Thank you!

Okay, i downloaded the svn version and installed...the user issues seems to be resolved, and the "manager" cannot access the admin interface, but is allowed only what I designate...
But, this version does not have the ".htaccess manager" nor the WAF...which I need both...and the message is that there is an upgrede available, which tells me the version 2.1.5 is the upgrade...this was the version that did not block lower level users....
Which to use?

Apparently, you installed the wrong developer's release :) There are two of them, one for Admin Tools Core and one for Admin Tools Professional. The correct one is in https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/developer-releases/admin-tools-professional.html

If you install this version, everything will be in place. Please note that upon installing the dev release, the Live Update feature will complain that there is a newer version of Admin Tools Pro available. This is normal. Live Update always considers official releases to be newer than the dev releases. This decision was made on the grounds that many people would end up using dev releases instead of newer stables. So, until I publish Admin Tools 2.1.6 you can safely use this dev release.
