Hi there, I have added the IP's used by the System Administrators to the 'never ban these ip's' list, but those IP's still show up on the Security Exception Log for 'Admin Query String'.

Is there a way to not have the Sys Admin's IPs show up on the exceptions log?

regards,
Royce

Hi Royce,

This is how this feature is supposed to work. What it does is to only prevent the IP from being automatically banned after repeated security exceptions. What it does not do -but I guess it was what you wanted- is to disable all security checks for these IPs. Security checks do run, security exceptions are raised and they are logged, exactly as designed.

There is no feature which allows specific IPs to be completely exempt of all security checks.

Hi there, a good compromise, instead of exempting whitelisted ip's from security checking, would be an option/checkbox to not show IP's that are in the 'never block' list or the 'whitelist' on the exception log.

Right now, my log is filled with entries from our admin IP addresses with the 'admin query string' entry which make it very tedious to see the IP's that are potentially dangerous.

That's a good idea. In fact, it should be the only option. It doesn't make much sense to log IPs which are white-listed. Added on the to-do list for the release planned for the weekend :)
