Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the forum before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 1.17
PHP version: 5.3.6
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: Rochen
Admin Tools version: 2.1.10

Description of my issue:
I am trying to install the latest Easyblog component (com_easyblog_3.0.6149_paid_j1.7) it is 2.15 MB.
It is trying to upload but it just loads and loads over and over.
I have upload max size set to 20mb.
I have checked with Rochen and there are no problems with their server.
I have installed this same component on another Rochen server just fine.
The only difference is that the one I am having problems with has Admin Tools installed.
Could there be a problem with the fix permissions that I did with Admin Tools?
Any ideas?

Well, there is no Joomla! 1.17, so I assume you're talking about Joomla! 1.7.1. The second thing is that Admin Tools does nothing to interfere with your extension installation. If there were a permissions issue, you would get an error message stating that files can't be moved, a folder is not writable or something like that. I assume that your page is not really loading over and over, it just loads forever, until it simply returns an empty page, which would indicate a time-out error. Since this is a big extension, it's very likely that this happens. In this case, just increase the PHP max_execution_time to 90 seconds and see how it goes.

Should I add max_execution_time = 90; to the php.ini file?

yep or if you make is 0, it should also work (however you should change it back once its done)

Definitely an issue on your server. We run easy blog with ATP on many sites, without problems.

Once you get it installed and running, you'll be might impressed with easy blog, its pretty damn good.

Thank for the help but it did not work as Rochen said they cannot change it on a shared server.
I never had this much trouble installing a component.

If we can't increase the timeout value, let's try to reduce the installation time. Please try the Manual Installation instructions to install Easyblog. These instructions were written for Akeeba, but the same theory applies to Easyblog, unzip, upload and install from directory. This will save the installer the time to upload and unzip the component and reduce the chance of a timeout.

Yeah I did that and it installed but the install was screwed up so I deleted it.
I put a ticket in at StackIdeas so hopefully they can come up with a solution.
Thanks for your help.
