Hello,

I have updated K2 from 2.7.1 to 2.10.3. After updated, I checked the site. When I logged in to the site as a front end editor to edit K2 item, I receive the message below.

403 - This request is blocked by Admin Tools. Please change this message in the component's options. If you are the administrator of this site and have blocked your own IP address on accident please visit https://mywebsite.com/administrator/[email protected] where [email protected] is the email address of you (Super User) account. This URL will only send you an email if the IP address from which you are accessing itis being blocked by AdminTools. If you are not blocked no email will be sent; you don't need an email with instructions to unblock your IP if your IP is not blocked.

Please advise.

Thanks,

M

Hello,

please get inside Admin Tools, Blocked Requests Log and search for your IP (or immediately after your request was blocked). What's the reason for the block? What's the blocked URL?

Davide,

Based on your questions, I tried to think what was happening. The error happened after the K2 front end editor click "Edit" to edit the page and the URL for K2 front end editing for K2 version 2.10.3 is

https://mywebsite.com/contact-connect/edit/384?tmpl=component&template=system

and the URL for front end editing for K2 version 2.7.1 is

https://mywebsite.com/contact-connect/edit/384?tmpl=component

Is this information help?

Please advise.

Thanks,

M

Ok, this is an easy fix. Please get inside Admin Tools Configure WAF page and set the option "Allow site templates" to Yes.

This will allow any component to switch templates as long as they're installed on your site. That should fix your issue.
