Hi, for the past few months I've been unable to download all files from my server (httpdocs) I have been getting the FTP message:

The operation couldn’t be completed. File exists

I have eventually tracked down the issue when I visit administrator/components/com_admintools/tmpl/

Most of the Folders within this are duplicated within uppercase and lowercase version see attached image.

Because of this I am unable to download a copy as the FTP is correct in seeing this as a duplicated file.

I am not sure when or how this has happened or how to resolve the problem.

Can I safely delete any? The contents doesn't look identical (see image of open folders)

Would I be better to completely uninstall admin tools and reinstall it?

Any suggestions or advice welcome

Hello,

the correct folder is the one with the lowercase name, you can safely delete the others with the mixed case. They are leftovers from the previous version, Admin Tools should have deleted them automatically, but you can download them manually, that's not a big deal.

Thanks for your reply. Good to hear it's a simple fix. I presume if there is only one file and it has no other lowercase version I am ok to delete it.

Yes, all folders in the "tmpl" one have a mixed case. If you want you can export your Admin Tools configuration, uninstall it, install it again and then import it again.

Reinstalled and imported the setting. Thanks for your advice.

Working fine now.
