Older admin tools, ver 5.xx... I have a secret password... I want to update admin tools as well as other things.

Cannot get in admin. I have changed htaccess from older admin tools version to default joomla version. I have changed name of "main.php" to main_dis.php... I still cannot access backend.

I get no error message, but only see an empty login form when trying to use http://thewildroseabq.com/administrator... it switches to http://thewildroseabq.com/administrator/index.php and same empty login form....

Any obvious thing I am doing wrong?

Hello,

that's a different protection, you added an extra password for your backend. Please take a look at this page, last paragraph: https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/admin-tools/admin-pw-protection.html
