Hi,  we have since the last joomla 3 and Joomla 4 updates, had a number of sites configuration.php files suddenly missing information related to database such as db user, password, database name and our sites go down with http error 500.  I am not sure why this is happening or if this has anything to do with admin tools. We have had this happen on at least 5 sites now.

When I restore from akeeba backup, prior to joomla update, the information in configuration.php is correct and the site works.  When I did the update on this website sunaccounting.ca, the configuration file was unchanged so I am unclear what could be happening here.

We have never experienced this issue in the past. I honestly don't know what could change the configuration.php file.

Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated.  I can't even send you the file as when i tried to recreate the issue, it did not recurr.

Hi,  I was able to find a b/u for the sunaccounting.ca site that contained the bad configuration.php file.  I updated the ticket to give you access the cpanel backend so you can see the difference.  i also am attaching the 2 different configuration.php files.

Admin Tools does NOT touch your configuration.php file without your explicit consent. When you use the check temp and log files folder feature we may change your configuration.php file BUT this is a safe process which only modifies two values in that file. It does not remove or otherwise mess with the database information.

I don't know what changes your configuration.php files either, I can tell you it's not Admin Tools though.
