This is a clients site .. and he is using a third party reservation company .. I have admin tools turned off now .. because i cant figuer out why .. whenever you click on the reservations link then come back to the site it locks you out ..

and it shows this

We have detected suspicious activity from your IP address. Your access to this site is temporarily suspended. If you are the administrator of this site and have blocked your own IP address on accident please visit https://copperlinelodge.com/administrator/[email protected] where [email protected] is the email address of your (Super User) account. This URL will only send you an email if the IP address from which you are accessing it is being blocked by Admin Tools. If you are not blocked no email will be sent; you don't need an email with instructions to unblock your IP if your IP is not blocked.

So have it disabled right now .. I have contacted the client and told him to tell the cloud beds people he has a new site .. not sure if it has to do with pointing back to the old site in some of the code ..

BUT want to know what to turn off in admin tools to stop these blocks . they are 404 shield ..

this is the link that causes the issue

Yes, the change of the site definitely has something to do with this. Remember that the 404Shield will only block requests to non-existent URLs. Its default configuration is to only block non-existent URLs you'd find in a WordPress site.

I will venture an educated guess. Your client had a WordPress site which was converted to Joomla. The third party booking service had an integration with a WordPress plugin, quite possibly an e-commerce or a property management plugin. This means that every time there's a booking it sends a callback to a predefined URL on the (old, WordPress) site. Most likely this URL references wp-admin/admin-ajax.php — this serves the same purpose as Joomla's com_ajax. However, there's no wp-admin folder in Joomla and it's one of the forbidden URL patterns in 404Shield which would explain why it's being blocked. In this case you have to check the configuration on the third party site and disable the callback to the old site's URL.
