Today, I was attempting to install your PANOPTICON on my localhost. During the process I inadvertently disabled Admin Tools Pro and then added a Super User on my Live Site rather than my localhost. When I went back to the System tab on my Live backend to re-enable Admin Tools, there are no item in the System. Everything else in the live site seems to be working.Β

Is there any way to get the items back and Admin Tools Pro re-enabled? Can you help?Β

The System page is a Control Panel. Everything in there is an administrator module. Your problem is not related to Panopticon, Admin Tools, or adding a Super User but the fact that this module is unpublished, or its Access is set to something other than Public.Β

Go to Content, Administrator Modules. Click on Filter Options, Select Position, cpanel-system. There should be a single module called System Dashboard of type Administrator Dashboard Menu. Edit it. The Menu setting should be Use A Preset and the Preset setting should be Preset - System Dashboard. It position is cpanel-system, Status is Published, and Access is Public.

Thanks for your reply but that didn't solve the problem. I had everything set the way you suggested. I did notice that the System Dashboard module has a status of Disabled. It also saays to "Use System - Manage - Extension to enable it" BUT I can't get to the System Dashboard to enable it. Any suggestions?

Nicholas:

I think I've solved my problem.Β

I created another System Dashboard using the instructions you provided above. Using this new menu item, I went to Manage > Extensions >Filter on "Admin" and then enabled Administrator Dashboard Menu. After seeing that this started showing the System menu, I went back to Content > Administrator Modules and Trashed the new menu item I had created to be able to do this.

I think what happened was that when I was Disabling Admin Tools to be able to add a Super User for PANOPTICON, I disabled the Administrator Dashboard Menu by mistake as well.

Please let me know if I did something wrong.Β

Yes, it looks like you accidentally disabled / deleted your system dashboard module. I had a feeling that might be the case, that's why I gave you all the settings of the default instance, in case you needed to create it afresh :)

I'm glad it's all back to working order now.
