Hello Team Akeeba!

I just installed Admin Tools and was instantly locked out.  So I consulted the Admin Tools installation info and disabled the extension from the File Manager.  So, all is OK, but I have no idea what caused the lockout, so I have disabled the extension from the extensions manager.

I'm sure it  is something I have done, or not done, so I would appreciate some direction

Error message attached.

Please read the message on the screenshot you sent me. It tells you what happened, why it happened, and how to fix it:

Bad Request

The domain you are using to access this site is not allowed. This site can only be accessed through the domain names metalliquest.com., www.metalliquest.com..

If you clicked a link which brought you here please do NOT contact the administrator of the sites you see above. The problem is a wrong configuration in the web server of the company hosting the site, something that the site owner cannot control.

If you are the administrator of this domain name and you were not expecting this error please go to your site's backend, Components, Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF, Allowed Domains and add the domain name metalliquest.com to the list, then click on Save to update your site's settings.

The last paragraph has the instructions necessary to address your issue.

And yes, when you go to that page you will see something that looks like metalliquest.com already on the list. However, if you look closely, you will see that it has a dot after the .com which makes it wrong as it does not match your domain (metalliquest.com noting there is no dot after .com). Remove that dot, save and close, and you should be good to go.
