Could you advise since setting up admin tools I get 403 Forbidden when trying to access https://www.stay4you.com/favicon.ico file permissions set to 644, google has given this as a possible reason the icon is not showing on Google search pages.

No, the favicon not being accessible is definitely NOT a valid reason to be excluded from Search results. Not being able to access the favicon simply results in no favicon being used when presenting your site in a search page, a browser tab, etc. That's all.

In any case, you can go to .htaccess Maker, find “Allow direct access to these files” and add a new line which reads

favicon.ico

Click on Save & Create .htaccess and you can now access the /favicon.ico URL on your site.
