Hi there

I just noticed, that Admin Tools is blocking the image crawler of JSitemap Pro from indexing the images for the image sitemap: It shows a 403 forbidden message. When disabling Admin Tools, it works fine. Where and which settings do I have to make, to allow image crawling? In the blocking history, I didn't find an entry for the crawler.

Thanks, Alexandra

Something sounds wrong in your description.

Disabling the System - Admin Tools plugin cannot have an effect on crawling images. At least not for a crawler running on your site.

Replacing the .htaccess Maker-generated .htaccess file with the Joomla defaults can, indeed, have an effect on this, depending on what exactly you mean with "indexing the images for the image sitemap". If they are trying to crawl your site to find image links (is this 1998 all over again?!) it might get blocked by the "Block access from specific user agents" feature.

Attached the message I get, when I test the image crawler of JSitemap Pro. When I disable the Admin Tools plugin, the message is gone, instead the website is displayed… When checking the image sitemap with disabled Admin Tools Plugin, it shows correctly all images in different categories. When enabling the plugin again, the sitemap is empty. So I think, enabling/disabling of the plugin definitely has an effect. Changing the htaccess with disabling "Block access from specific user agents" didn't has any effect.

If something is blocked by the plugin then you will see it in the Blocker Requests Log along with the IP address the request came from, the Target URL, and the Reason. Give me this information so I can tell you what is getting blocked and why. However, I have to once again tell you that the Admin Tools plugin CANNOT block images, provided that these images actually do exist on your site. It only runs when Joomla handles a request. Joomla does not handle the request for static files. So, either way, you are describing something wrong to me. I just don't know which part of what you're describing is wrong.
