Hello,

I've restored a website topkotgenk.be on topkotlimburg.be with Akeeba kickstart script, with back-end protection enabled in the backup.
As soon as I enter the first password, I get to the login screen, but when I enter the username and password there (from topkotgenk.be), it puts me back to the screen with the first paswword to enter

How can I solve this, please, so I can successfully login?

Delete the files administrator/.htaccess and administrator/.htpasswd using the hosting control panel's file manager. Please note that these files whose names start with a dot are hidden. To see them and be able to delete them you will have to enable the option to show hidden files in the file manager.

This does not seem to do the trick.
.htpasswd is not found in administrator directory, neither the .htaccess.

After entering a correct password for back-end protection, I cannot login with credentials on the Joomla login screen.
It keeps puting me back to the Akeeba back-end protection screen.

Also change password to "secret" with the Joomla manual now, but no success either.

When you contact me saying you can't log in after the "first password" and the only information you give me is a broken link and a fairly low-res, extremely cropped image which may or may not show RSFirewall (a third party product) you are not making it very likely I can help you efficiently. I have to make assumptions.

It would make no sense for someone to ask Akeeba about a problem with an RSJoomla software issue or vice versa. So, I assumed the screenshot was irrelevant. This left me with the assumption that being an Admin Tools Pro subscriber you probably used the admin directory password protection. Hence my previous reply.

It seems, though, that you are indeed asking Akeeba about a problem you have with an RSJoomla product. All I can tell you is to not use their products; use ours instead. These issues don't happen if you use Admin Tools Professional instead of RSFirewall. Try to rename their system plugin before logging into your site. After you log into your site, uninstall RSFirewall and install Admin Tools Professional.
